Merrilee Boyack Keynote Topic: "Training Your Children to Be Independent"
About this Session: We’ll discuss how to have a plan for training our children to be independent by age 18. This will focus on life skills and we’ll discuss ways to get our children to work (beyond chore charts) and how to modify these as the kids get older. Also, children need to learn to manage their money and we'll explore everything from allowances to jobs to saving for college. We'll be discussing the practical how-to's involved in the process. You'll learn everything you need to know to raise incredible, capable, independent kids! #how_to #motivate #parent_inspiration #student_inspiration #finance

Creative Storytelling by Dan Powell Learn how to participate in, narrate, and write creative and active storytelling exercises to share or deepen learning about any content. Participants (and observers) will enlist the help of a “Join In” story to be introduced to or deepen their knowledge in various topics...including math. Join-In stories can be written by kids or parents and rely on kids’ natural desires to improvise and create! And if you just want to watch, that’s okay too!
